Description The Princeton University Library system was the first large university library built after World War II and the first open-stack library to offer free access to undergraduates. One of the world’s most distinguished research libraries, it consists of the Harvey S. Firestone Memorial Library and nine buildings across campus. The library has more than 7 million books, 2 million non-print items, 49,000 linear feet of manuscripts, and extensive collections of digital text, data and images. The library's exhibitions and the Cotsen Children’s Library are open to the public, free of charge. As an employee of the University, you may borrow books with your employee ID. Your spouse or domestic partner may also be granted library privileges.
