We do not process room change requests during the first month of the academic year because students are just settling into their rooms. You can apply for a room change beginning in October. My Housing for Graduates Filling a Vacancy in Your Suite If there is a vacancy in your suite at any point during the year, Student Housing will contact a remaining suite member, who will have 10 days to fill the space with a student that does not have a housing contract or one who has drawn a single occupancy room. Students are not permitted to fill the vacancy with a student in a multi-occupancy unit thus creating another vacancy. If you cannot find a qualified replacement in a week, Student Housing will attempt to fill the vacancy. Each resident of a suite is entitled to the same rights, and division of space, regardless of when he or she begins occupancy. Dining Contract Changes/Termination You may decrease your dining contract at the following times. Students who do not live in the Graduate College may terminate or decrease their contracts at the following times. Fall semester requests must be submitted by October 2, 2022. Spring semester requests must be submitted between January 30, 2023 and February 7, 2023. Terms for changing and dropping meal plans can be found on Campus Dining’s Terms and Policies page.
