Parking and Transportation

Meadows Apartments residents will have access to convenient residential parking on the upper levels of the nearby Meadows Garage, which includes electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. Residents at Meadows may park one vehicle per residence for free with an active permit; students may register a second vehicle for their residence for a $350 annual fee. Limited visitor parking will also be available at Meadows Garage. Graduate students may not park in most other campus lots and garages between the weekday hours of 7 AM to 4 PM. More information about parking on campus is available on the Transportation and Parking Services (TPS) website.

Following the University’s commitment that students do not need to have a car to live, work, or study at Princeton, Meadows Neighborhood residents will have a variety of transportation options.

Meadows will be serviced by TigerTransit, the University’s free shuttle system. A detailed map of Meadows routes can be found here. TigerTransit will provide connections to campus between 7 AM and 12 AM weekdays, and between 9 AM and 12 AM on weekends. After 12 AM, on-demand shuttle ride rides can be requested back to Meadows until 3 AM; residents will also have access to a limited number of Lyft rides for late-night rides home after 3 AM. On weekends, TigerTransit will operate a shopper route serving Meadows with stops at popular nearby shopping areas, including Target, Wegmans, Whole Foods, and Trader Joe's. Further details on the Meadows TigerTransit service will be made available on the TPS website in advance of the opening of the Meadows Apartments.

Hourly car rentals with Enterprise Carshare will also be available to residents with vehicles parked at the Meadows Garage.

For cyclists, Meadows will also include plentiful bike parking, including covered bike parking throughout the Meadows Neighborhood. The University is actively engaged with partners in the town of Princeton, Mercer County, and New Jersey DOT to upgrade the Washington Road corridor to provide better pedestrian and bicycle connectivity between the Meadows Neighborhood and other areas of the Princeton campus and the town of Princeton.
