Room Draw Priority

*Please note that if you are a PAA who as a class of 2025 lived in non-affiliated housing (i.e. not in a residential college) for junior year, you will only be eligible to apply for your advising college draw. No Class of 2025 can switch back to their original college if they switched junior year.

Butler 

Students may only apply to the Butler College Draw

 - Students who lived in Butler as first years, sophomores and Juniors will have the highest priority. 

 - Students who lived in Butler as first years and sophomores will have the next priority. 
- Students who transitioned to Butler as Juniors but did not live there as first years and sophomores will have the least priority.

Construction

Various construction projects to support the University’s goals of expanding its student body and achieving carbon neutrality by 2046 will be underway during academic year 2024-25. The following projects should be considered as you select your room for the upcoming academic year.

General Construction Note

Construction activities will occur between 7:00 am to 5:00 pm on weekdays and 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturdays. Construction traffic will primarily utilize Elm Drive for deliveries and removal of material. Pedestrian and ADA pathways will be subject to incremental re-routing which will be coordinated with those impacted. Active detours will be posted to the campus detours tab on the construction website: Campus Detours | Construction at Princeton.

Class of 1986 Fitness and Wellness Center (areas impacted: Little, Fisher, Spelman, Pyne, 1901, Dod, Brown, Cuyler, Patton, Wright)

Dillon Gymnasium reopened on January 29, 2024, and the Dillon Gymnasium Pool reopened on February 16, 2024. The renovation of Stephens Fitness Center began in Spring 2024, which includes concrete work and exterior repairs to the stairs, new millwork, mechanical, electrical and HVAC, roof replacement, and window repair and reinstallation. In the Summer 2024, the new elevator will be installed, and demolition and removal of stairs and interior work will commence. The roof replacement, skylight installation, and window reinstallation will continue. Exterior renovations and the planting of the green roof will also occur. Construction is anticipated to be complete by January 2025.

Princeton University Art Museum, PUAM (areas impacted: Edwards, Brown Hall, Dod Hall, 1903 Hall)

Miscellaneous landscape and hardscape installation will continue into the fall. This project is scheduled to complete construction by Fall 2024 with museum and artwork installations continuing (by the Art Museum) into the Spring 2025, when the opening of the Museum is anticipated.

Hobson College (areas impacted: Patton, Wright, Cuyler, Walker, Feinberg, Yoseloff, 1967, 1976, Bogle, Wilf, Bloomberg)

During Summer 2024, construction of the foundation structure will commence along with geo-exchange lateral pipe installation. Winter 2024 will bring steel structural erection that will continue through Spring 2025 alongside the installation of the exterior envelope which will include framing, roofing, exterior closure, and exterior glass. (Please note that a sidewalk bridge will be installed along Goheen Walk for pedestrian protection.)

Schmidt Enabling / Moffett Exterior / Building HW Conversions (areas impacted: Scully)

Several projects will take place around Guyot, Moffett, and Schultz.

Starting Summer 2024, work will begin on the exterior elevation of the west side of Schultz Lab and the exterior west side of Guyot Hall for electrical installations which will continue until Winter 2025.

Moffett Labs will experience exterior renovations on the west and east sides of the building to replace stucco shafts, exterior ductwork, perimeter roofing, masonry and window and glass replacement. This work will begin in Summer 2024 and will continue through the academic year.

Mechanical work to convert Moffett and Schultz from steam to HW (hot water) will begin Summer 2024 and continue through the academic year. (While most of this work will be on the interior, there may be occasional deliveries and crane picks to load equipment into the building.)

Lewis Thomas Lab Loading Dock (areas impacted: Scully)

Work will begin Summer 2024 and continue into Winter 2025 to renovate the existing Lewis Thomas Lab Loading Dock including removal and replacement of concrete retaining walls and interior demolition and construction of the shipping and receiving offices.
