Spelman Hall stands between University Place and Pyne Drive, just opposite Dillon Gymnasium and includes eight separate structures built on a diagonal pathway. Upperclass students live in apartment-style accommodations that include four single rooms, a kitchen, a living area, a balcony and a bathroom.

Most students who live in Spelman are Independent and do not participate in eating clubs or eating co-ops. There are a limited number of apartments designated for married students.
